We are currently working on Weceem 0.2 and hope to release the version in the next couple of weeks.

So far, we have finished the following tasks:

- Weceem is now based on Grails 1.1
- the app is splitted into a Weceem plugin that includes the complete content management and an application that includes the user management
- we implemented most parts of a new user interface for the content repository. It is based on a jQuery tree-table with drag and drop etc.
- we removed unused libraries (eg. Dojo) and shrinked the size of the application massively
- a new generic content editor was implemented that allows to edit arbitrary content classes
- the controller for the URL handling was reworked; the content type is not included in the URL anymore
- many bugs have been fixed

There are still several things we want to implement/change before the 0.2 release, eg. the simplification of the image handling.

After the 0.2 release, we think that the application can be used in the first production installations (with low traffic).

We will then open up the source code repository, drop Subversion and use Git or Mercurial.

When will be 0.2 released? Can you release your source code repository soon?

We want to release 0.2 in the next couple of weeks. The basic functionality that we wanted to implement is there, but there are still bugs and things to be cleaned up.

The repository will be public after the 0.2 release, but you can already download nightly builds including source code from:

Oh, thanks!
